Francis MacKenzie killed David Baxter 27 in 2000 and was sentenced to 10 years for culpable homicide.
After his release he was convicted of the attempted murder on 12 June 2013 of a man who was walking his dog for which he was sentenced to serve a minimum of 3.5 years.
